Divas of Colour is creating the perfect platform to bring this discussion to the fore. More like operation let’s talk about mental health within Afro-Carribean communities. Rose Perkins is a new International Fashion Designer, Celebrity Stylist & Prince’s Trust Specialised Business Mentor in Fashion. She showcased her very first collection in 2012 at London Fashion Week called Back to Black. An up-cycled customised hand sewn coque feather & gold inspired collection which put her on the map in fashion. She recently started a sewing class at Ellie B Jewels and after 3mths she was given the opportunity to showcase in Hollywood USA, Dubai with House of Ikons. She has won the Divas of Colour designer award 2015
RCW ( Reece Curtis- Walwyn) is an emerging Womenswear designer from the hearth of London. The brand has been featured in showcases across London in event of London Fashion week and Houses of Parliament . Which lead to landing her first collaboration collection with London Enthics. RCW has won awards such as Young Designer to watch (2013) Own Label competition (2014) and Sponsor me awards (2015), leading RCW to launch their brand in August 2015 as an support business by the The Princes Trust.
Patti has been awarded an OBE in Her Majesty The Queen’s birthday Honours List for her charity work in the UK & Sub-Saharan Africa. Ms Boulaye a famous Nigerian British singer and philanthropist.
Over the years, Patti has tirelessly worked for charities and served on the committees of eight British charities and she has been a patron of five, including Eastside Educational Trust, Barnardo’s, SOS and Women Into Business.
Since becoming ward councillor in 2010, she has gained numerous experiences on various scrutiny committees and community events, Labour Party Branch/BAME Meetings, Resident Forums, Regular Surgeries, Edmonton Partnership to mention just few.
Her outstanding performance as a PhD student, won her employment by the University of Port Harcourt as lecturer and within a few years, rose to the status of a Professor of Educational Management. She has taught, supervised and graduated so many undergraduates, masters and PhD students.
